International Tiger Day
   
 
International Tiger Day, is an annual celebration to raise awareness for tiger conservation, held annually on 29 July. It was created in 2010 at the Saint Petersburg Tiger Summit. The goal of the day is to promote a global system for protecting the natural habitats of tigers and to raise public awareness and support for tiger conservation issues.

To promote the conservation of Tigers in today’s world the students of class IV-C through their assembly on 29 July 2015 brought out the importance of the same by putting up a skit and through different placards where in the students were explained about why tigers are being extinct and what can we do on our part to Conserve and Save the Tigers which are remaining till date.
 
     

Fun N Fiesta- Food fest

Food is an important part of any culture across the globe. A ‘Food Fest’ was organized to help our students learn about the food items of the countries UK, US, China and India. Our students of Std.III and IV had put up four counters UK, US, China and India selling food items of each country. Each counter had the traditional food items of the country. Fish and chips, pastries of UK, pizzas, burgers and doughnuts from US, noodles and chicken lollipops of China, veg biryani, idlis and malai pedhas from India were some of the food items on display. The creative presentation by the students was noteworthy. The money collected at the ‘Food Fest’ was used for charity which was donated to the HOUSE OF CHARITY..

     
 
     
 

 
Fun N Fiesta-Carnival
 
 
A ‘Carnival’ was organized by the students of the Primary Section on Tuesday,8 September 2015as a part of the ISA Project ‘Fun and Fiesta’in which all the PTA members were invited. The aim of this event was to enhance the knowledge of the students about the cultures of UK, US, China and India in a fun-filled way and to inculcate respect for global diversity. The Programme had various activities like prayer dance, style act, and dances of USA, UK, China and India. Our students gained a lot of information about the festivals, dances, currencies, languages, national sports and traditional costumes of each country. They shared their experiences of the ISA project.

The highlight of the event was the ‘Grand Finale’ where all the participants came together to spread the message of equality and brotherhood among all the countries which is a part of our mission statement i.e. “CREATINGGLOBAL CITIZENS”.The students participated in an ‘On the Spot Quiz ‘organized to gauge the learning outcome of the activities.

They won prizes for answering correctly.The ‘Carnival’ was an enriching learning experience for the students.The students enthusiastically participated in all the activities organized.
